EastLake U

EastLake U is a series of courses designed to teach some of the foundational elements of the Christian faith that we believe are better taught in a classroom-type setting than preached on a Sunday morning. We created this environment for people who are already meeting the membership expectations (attending, in community groups, giving, serving, and inviting friends to EastLake) and want to go “deeper” in their growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We will offer these classes on a trimester basis and each course is one night a week for four weeks.

How Much does it cost?

For you, free.

WHAT IF I CAN'T MAKE IT TO ALL FOUR SESSIONS?

Just like most everything in life, the more you put in the more you’ll get out of it. However, we know that life is complicated and circumstances may or may not allow you to make it to all four classes. All we ask is that if you can’t make it to a majority (at least three of the four) of the classes to please leave the space available to someone who can.

WHY ARE YOU LIMITING IT TO THE FIRST 20 PEOPLE TO SIGN UP?

The size of the room doesn’t allow us to do any more than that, and we also want you to have a personal connection with the teacher.

WHAT ARE THE DAYS AND TIMES OF THESE COURSES?

The dates and times will vary depending on the availability of the teacher. We’ll make the specific dates and times of the classes available as soon as we’ve confirmed them.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING

A computer or notebook would probably be helpful but not required.

OUR NEXT EASTLAKE U COURSE

DESCRIPTION:
We are planning a new EU for the dates June 15, 22, 29 (yes only three dates this time…), we are covering the history of the “C”hurch from the establishment of God’s “chosen” people to what we see in a typical modern day church. Courses go as follows:

DATE/TIME:
June 22 Jake Stueckle is teaching on the “church” history of the Hebrews up until the death of Jesus.

June 29 Brian McDowell is teaching on the “early” Christian Church from Jesus death to the reformation.

July 6 Josh Jakubek is teaching on the Christian Church from the reformation to modern day.

These courses are going to be related, but stand alone in nature so that if you miss one, you can just step right in another.
