CREATE COMMUNITY AT EASTLAKE

At EastLake we believe that circles are better than rows – we’d rather have you in circles during the week than in rows on a Sunday morning. In circles you begin to know and be known by others, and it’s these providential relationships that can spark spiritual growth more than just listening to a talk on Sunday mornings. That’s why groups are so critical for us – we want people to get connected and grow together throughout the week. Groups can be activity, discussion, or study based and can take place just about anywhere: local coffeeshops, homes, pubs, or restaurants.

We’re always thankful to have people be a part of what we do on Sunday mornings, because the other option is sad loneliness in an abandoned theatre.  But what we really love is seeing people connect outside of Sundays in various forms of community with EastLake serving as the connection point.  Maybe it’s a weekly book group, or a Bible study, or a monthly yoga group, or a Spring Barrel wine tasting event, or…you get the idea – so tell us about it!  What’s something YOU could do to create community at EastLake. Right now is the best time to sign up to LEAD one of those groups and our only requirement is that you’ve attended one before. Tell us about it and we’ll help however we can.

To show how much we value full participation in groups and to eliminate excuses for not joining a group, EastLake will reimburse the cost of one childcare provider per group. To download the form: eastlaketricities.com/childcare
